- Bigotry comes in many forms, and this is another one of them--just because you're disabled doesn't mean you can't be bigoted against other people who are disabled. There's new research that proves Fibromyalgia is real, even if it's not well understood yet.

- Fibromyalgia is pretty freaking real. It has nothing to do with how much a person's weight or age. It's very painful and alters one's life dramatically. Telling someone with fibro to "get over it" would be like telling a paraplegic to do gymnastics. Unless you're a doctor, don't assume anything about what other people do or do not suffer from.
- you stupid jerk. fibromyalgia has nothing to do with weight. i was a freshman in high school when i was diagnosed with it, i am 5'1 and weighed only 95 lbs. too skinny, of course, but at that age i didn't realize i was. anyway, my diagnosis brought to an end YEARS of HUNDREDS of doctors' visits... once i was diagnosed and put on medication, everything changed. so shame on you for assuming you know what the hell you're talking about. you don't. you maybe have a bigger disability than i do, and i'm sorry that you do, but everything is relative. everyone has their own issues and pain, whether it's physical, mental or emotional. don't be so judgemental.

- I agree that overweight shouldn't be called a disiblity unless it's a severe case immobilizing or causing them to be physically unable to work/etc, but that's a bit harsh, there are many diseases that make it so people are going to be overweight no matter what they do, so please don't slam a 'group' so viciously.
I am sorry you have to be in a wheel chair, whatever happened. I can't imagine what you have to go through mentally and physically, I hope you have supporting friends and family and are able to live happily, and if things aren't so great I hope they improve soon. - Fibromyalgia - LAZY FUCKS!
