Sent to a friend I have been so broke lately and scared to ask my parents for money because they just gave me 200$ which I immediately spent so I could go to a music festival and out drinking. SO I've basically been starving myself, like all I had to eat today was half a packet of stale banana chips and 20 Parliament Light cigarettes (would rather smoke than eat, if forced to choose). The good news is, I've managed to starve myself down to a size 00!! I just measured my waist and it is 23 inches!!The bad news is that it actually looks terrible :(
I hope my student loan check arrives soon.

- There is nothing like hardship to teach you the value of woerk and care with money. Find a good job and try to advance through training.

Look around at the people you know who you think have it all together and start spending time with them picking their brains and asking for guidance. You are young and need to learn some self discipline or these type of problems will plague for a long time to come.

- lol money well spent on the festival and drinking. Once I lived for a week on a $1 Cabbage and lentils and salt and rice it cost about $5! not pleasant but you don't have to starve yourself

- My niece is the same way... immediate gratification, and then runs in trouble and asks others to bail her out. She solved the problem by giving me $ 40 to 'hold' until she really needed it. She knew I wouldn't 'just give it to her'-- and ended up forgetting about it! A few days ago (about 5 months after giving me the money), she asked me if she could borrow $15 for gas. I was very happy to tell her that she has $40 she can have... but she ended up only taking $20 because she realized how great it was to have 'bail out' money of her own.
