Read confession
Sent to a friend I have lost my way. I used to be a believer in Christ, but now I only speak his words to get attention. I know scripture front and back, but to me it is just sayings and advice. I have lost the passion that comes with believing truly in Christ.I feel that I have been taking the word of God in vain. I give people advice based on scripture, but I feel nothing.
Father help me. Help me rekindle the fire of God inside me. Help me understand and believe. Turn my eyes and mind away from ignorance and towards truth.

It seems that you are not capable of making reasoned arguments, only of being abusive. No doubt I will be damned to hell, no doubt I am pure evil being an atheist, but then, as said elsewhere, the Devil is a believer, which suggests that the route of evil is actually belief, and the need to destroy unbelievers that goes with having that belief. - I have a TOM TOM, they're great, just put in the destination and off you go.

Matthew, Mark Luke & John did not write the gospels until 40 years after the death of JC. None of them ever met him.
Only one of them thought the Star of Bethlehem was worth mentioning.
2 of them copied from the first one, and just added bits in.
Most of Jesus's contemporaries did not believe he was the son of God, or even a messiah.
The Bible blames the Jews for the death of Christ, yet clearly it was the Romans who did it. The story of the soldier spearing him is ridiculous, it would not have been an immediately fatal wound, instead it would mean a long lingering and painful death, the Roman would have known this, since belly wounds were their greatest fear. It is far more likely that he intended it that way, since he knew people were often rescued from the crosses at night, since Jesus had lots of followers, it was highly likely he would be rescued.
Why would the Bible blame the Jews and not the Romans? Hmm. Isn't the Bible we have now, the one agreed after Constantine became emperor, Roman Emperor? Would you like to have been the one who insisted it was the Romans who killed Christ, rather than making a scapegoat of the Jews? - don't listen to the other commenter...full of nonsense
- Religion is about indoctrination when young. When we are too young to realise that what we are being told is just nonsense. Indeed, unlike any other subject taught, asking difficult questions is frowned upon and even punished.
For instance, why would a perfect being want to be worshipped?
Note that the other commenter fails to answer any of the points made, instead tries to magic it away by calling it nonsense.
What is belief? Does believing something make it true? If there is only one God, why did people believe otherwise for most of history?
The ancient Greeks and Romans believed in many gods, why would they believe in them if they did not exist? If they did exist, what happened to them? Did your one god kill them? Belief is just when something feels as though it must be true, even when logic says otherwise. That is how religion perpetuates. get them when they are young and they will be programmed for life.

Belief does not make anything so! - be muslim, right religion is islam. god made the right life style is islam for human from begining with adam till last human of world. there is one god and there is one religion, there is one haven and there is one hell and there is one soil to go in when we die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1000s of prophets told their nations islam since adam... surely if you really want the truth then only say openly to god ( show me the right religion i want you) help will come tu you
